I do believe it will be an uphill battle for DL to sway loyal CX pax to fly DL. However it is a pretty big market and perhaps with some corporate contracts and cargo it could work. Im definitely hopeful.
I’m booked for November for LAX to HKG. I’m flying for work, but it’s great to have a Delta option that’s nonstop from the U.S. that I can use points on. My fiancé is flying with me and I got an awesome SkyMiles redemption for her Delta One Suite.
I’m definitely sick of routing through Seoul to get anywhere other than Shanghai or Tokyo. Hoping Delta sticks it out on these new Asia routes!
