I need to keep an email connection but that seems like a dream compared to the days when I could stay connected the entire trip to Asia.
As noted above, the coverage hole for TPAC flights should be resolved sometime this fall when they put the Viastat-3 F3 (APAC) satellite into production. The satellite was successfully launched on April 29th, but has to be positioned and go through testing before deployed in production -- https://www.viasat.com/about/technol...leet/viasat-3/

If DL had known all the deployments delays and issues that the Viasat-3 satellites were going to have when they chose Viasat pre-Covid, it seems likely they would have chosen a different provider.I don't believe Starlink was an option at that time. As the saying goes, hindsight is 20/20.

The current coverage map is available on this webpage -- https://www.delta.com/us/en/onboard/...t/onboard-wifi
