This is a nice perk at PDX for those that can use it--the "elite" line is typically pretty backed up--likely because there are fewer agents working this line compared to the general line. It's always a tough decision--spend forever at the normal bag drop looking for a bin to put my bag in and getting my photo taken by the baggage machine or wait in the slow moving elite line. My terminal check-in time has doubled (at least) during the past few years--hopefully AS can do something to streamline the process and get people moving along faster in the future.
