Nextel is the only cell phone provider with good coverage in our area (10 minutes from IAD, believe it or not). I've been using AT&T Wireless/Cingular because of their ability to roam internationally with their GSM phones. I'm tired of dropped calls at home.

On their website, Nextel has an international-only phone that requires you to swap SIM card with your regular Nextel phone.

My question is: if I have an unlocked GSM phone that works in Europe, could I use the Nextel SIM card in it while in Europe?
