The InterContinental Kaohsiung is located in the heart of the Asia New Bay Area, directly opposite the remarkable Kaohsiung Main Public Library, designed by Taiwanese architect Ricky Liu in collaboration with the team of Japanese architect Toyo Ito. The hotel is also just a few metres from the harbour and its waterfront promenades, in one of the city’s newest districts, where modern towers, cultural venues, landscaped public spaces, cafés and restaurants have transformed what was once a more industrial area into a lively and rather pleasant urban environment.
The Kaohsiung Music Center and the Pier-2 Art Center are both easily accessible from the hotel.

Dream Mall, one of the biggest shopping and entertainment complexes in Taiwan, is less than ten minutes ride by bike.

A Ubike station is also located only a few minutes away, making it very easy and surprisingly pleasant to explore the city by bicycle.
