BA299 LHR-ORD - May 8th 1:10pm
Exact same menu as post #271 LHR-DEN
I enjoyed all the food very much. I had the Roast Beef and loved the sauce that came with it, plus the asparagus and tomatoes a great grilled flavor.
The Mezzaluna is like a round Ravioli that tasted like it was filled with Ricotta, that was not mentioned on the menu. The "Spicy Calabrian Tomato Sauce" had no hot pepper heat, but a nice seasoning. It was as good of tomato sauce as I've ever had, nice and thick. Would order that again! Sorry no picture but looked exactly like post #272 and #273. My wife had the Lamb. She thought the chop was dry, but loved the potato thing with a layer of lamb.
I had the Basque Cheesecake dessert and would order that again as refreshing. It was like yellow cake topped with clotted cream and fresh berries.
For before landing I had the Mushroom Courgette. That was a miss with very little filling, mostly cheese. My wife had the Pork Bap and loved the pulled pork filling. We both enjoyed the Chocolate Chip muffin and thought it was the best ever, nicely warmed by the crew.
I normally fly AA. I much preferred this BA 787-10 to the new AA 787P. Even in the new Preferred seat, and especially in the normal J seat that seems cramped with no storage and smaller IFE. I liked the BA seat, IFE, food and crew much more that I will look to book it. Especially if it leaves from T3 so I can visit the CX F Lounge.
