For the OP -- congratulations and glad to see UA treat the milestone well.
It certainly seems at a supervisory/management level UA does really value the Million Miler -- I recently had a unique event in EWR with one other flyer, saw the SOC, met a ton of people in leadership roles, and each time we were introduced as "LincolnJKC, a 1K 1MM, and xxx, a 2MM" and there was a genuine thanks for the years of loyalty.

That's kind of the point of the BMW for transfers -- to take the stress out of a short connection -- well, and avoiding the train between A and B.
Oddly (and I'm certainly not complaining) I wound up with the BMW transfer in DEN two weeks in a row in February... Both times going B to A, neither was a particularly tight connection -- but also not particularly long. Wound up dropping me at the stairs to the A UC.
