I am sure I’m late to the game on this one, but I was on G-VIIW IAD-LHR 772-200ER on 1 May 2026, with the old First, however it looks like the IFE screens have had an upgrade since I last flew on this type, with noticeably higher resolution, although the screen size itself is still similar. I only use the IFE for the moving map, so can’t comment much further on either responsiveness or content.

It looks like there’s been a further IFE update recently where the AC outlets are controlled differently to before, in that the AC outlets are controlled separately. On both my outbound (77W) and inbound (772), the cabin crew forgot to turn these AC outlets on due to the update’s change in operation (at least that’s what I was told): both USB outlets and IFE were all working, just the AC outlets weren’t, and just needed s tweak at the centralised control panel.
