Original route credit is something that as far as I am aware only AF/KL do. All other airlines (both in *A and OW) credit on the basis of flights flown, so you might be in bad luck there.

To be honest, I am surprised they even rebooked you on another airline (i assume another alliance), since AT is known for their terrible customer service.
