Had a one night stay last night after a 2 year Hiatus.

Mrs LoM is running the marathon tomorrow and wanted to be close to Excel for registration yesterday.

Booked a classic room, upgraded to end of corridor "junior suite" as Diamond Ambassador. The property seems to be wearing well apart from the bathroom tap which looked a bit rough.

Had this room type often before when I was a more regular guest and think they are nicely spaced. No Club Check in was flagged as available and had a short queue to check in.

Club lounge still a great space and substantial catering options for breakfast, afternoon tea and evening nibbles. The spirit selection was reasonable but the wines on offer these days are a tad rough.

Diamond welcome free drinks now very restricted sadly (I remember the days here when you could have almost anything you wanted) and are similar to the lounge offering of wines and beers.

Beds still extremely comfortable and slept well. Some nice and thoughtful welcome gifts of dessert platter and temple spa bits.

Was told we could not check out at the club lounge (not sure when check in and out there ceased to be an option) but a desk was opened for me downstairs.

Overall a good stay at a smidge under £300 for a busy weekend with events in the O2.

Next stop ICPL.
