1. Breakfast at Big Ed's City Market (downtown Raleigh)- Get there early on weekends, line is out the door by 9AM

2. North Carolina State Fair - You ain't lived until you had a deep-fried Twinkie or Snickers Bar

3. Raleigh Flea Market - NC State Fairgrounds (every weekend) - Southern Living has paid many visits and writeups, noting it will "redefine" what you think of a flea market.

4. Mama Dip's (Chapel Hill) - Down home southern cooking!

Wear your UNC Blue or NCSU Red...but save the Dukie stuff for Durham!
