Nobody who lives along the Peninsula or Marin wants to fly in and out of OAK.
I may be an outlier Marin resident, but I actually do not mind flying out of OAK at all when flight schedules (and prices) make sense. Travel time is similar to or faster and parking is cheaper than SFO. I do live North of 580, so I suppose that may be the reason.
I usually do 2-4 trips a year from OAK (all on WN now, but previously on AS as well); otherwise it’s mostly UA from SFO.
