Of my last 6 long haul Air NZ flights across both 787 and 777 aircraft, I think I've managed to get Wi-Fi to barely work once, enough to refresh my email, but not sufficient to browse basic text web pages.
At this point I really dont know why Air NZ even bother to make such a fuss about free Wi-Fi, feels very much like another case of over promising and underdelivering - something they seem to be perfecting lately.
I've also flown Singapore Airlines on both their 787 and A350's, and had a fantastic Wi-Fi experience on both flights, no need to authenticate more than once, kept a stable connection, and speed tests reflected around 20 Mbps down when tested.
Flew this on April 10 and no wifi, my boss came up next day and same problem. I wish they would just tell us at start of flight theres an issue rather than having FA's trying to fix it
