When their catering all but disappeared, their narrowbodies all got slimline seats, and even after countless times getting treated like a criminal for a 9kg carry on, I stayed loyal.

But now, many colleagues, friends and I actively avoid LH in Europe - there are so many constant labour issues, that its at the point that you can't rely on the airline to get you from A to B. Killing Cityline overnight is just another perfect example.

I have lifetime *G via AC, but you can bet I'll be sticking to KLM whenever possible.
Ya same here AC 50K member who flys a lot within Europe on trips but with so many LH economy fares not earning anything towards status or being forced to book higher fares (that still are non earning since all classes Light through Flex are still fare code K frequently) with Light being hostile to *Gold by not including checked bags only times i still take LH within europe was the smaller airports that are constantly getting cut. FDH gone LPL gone and now SVG gone (plus many more i can't think of off the top of my head) BHX-FRA now only once a day FRA-NCL only 4 times a week etc etc. KLM flys to these same kind of small places and can with there most basic status get a checked bag on all fares plus AMS being one of if not the cheapest average destination on AC into Europe will have me flying through AMS more and more.
