I'm heading down to London on Sunday and was wondering whether the 1640 is a "mediocre sandwich" flight or "peanuts only" - unusually I'm paying, and I might consider using one of my upgrade thingies.

Another random thought as we came in to land at EDI today - has anyone else noticed those large "Archimedes Screw" things near the east end of the terminal building? For drainage purposes I assume, but has anyone ever seen them working?

There was something else BD-related I was going to ask too, but sadly it's now gone completely...
