Pre-pandemic and pre-early retirement, this milestone for me would have happened in Q2 of 2020. Alas, the occasion was only recognized because of my relationship with the YEG concierge team (now my home team and second only to the stellar service I received for 10 years in SFO). Upon arrival in YYZ for my connection to LHR on 31 July, I was met by a concierge who drove me in the Porsche shuttle to the international business lounge. She presented me with a card individually signed by the YYZ team. The Captain on AC854 came back to thank me for my loyalty. I told him that, despite my disenchantment with the steady erosion in benefits for top tier customers, I would remain loyal to AC only because of my many personal interactions over the years with staff and crew. Congratulatory email received on 08 Aug and new luggage tags arrived two weeks later.
