A while ago I did hear a runour of a plan to bring in weight based limits on baggage as used in most of the rest of the world, though didn't give it much credence. Given this change, I wonder if this is a phased in approach by firstly limiting baggage to 2 x 23kg and a later stage to "enhance" their service for the benefit of all their customers such that economy is limited to 1 bag and voila it is close to being inline with the rest of the world.

All that would be left would be to get rid of the "burdensome restriction" of only one bag and generously allow passengers as many pieces as they like as long as the weight wasnt exceeded
