I'm in the same situation. The CSP has lost value for me in recent years. I used the CX Portal to book a hotel last week, and redeem the $50 annual credit. But, to be honest, I couldn't remember the last time I used it. Probably years. I do remember looking for hotels on the portal and not seeing anything I would want, or seeing better and cheaper options that were more economical for a longer stay. And I do mean, I did try to take advantage of it.
Without the points redemption multiplier, there isn't the same value and I used up my final 1.25 points recently.
I will say this: if you are a UA flyer in the MP program, the ability to transfer UR points into MileagePlus at a 1:1 redemption is great. Some might say the ability to exchange points is the BEST use of UR and the best feature of CSP. You can also combine points from other UR cards into your CSP. I've done it with my FU, by moving them into my CSP and then exchanged them for MP. You can - and most likely - will accrue points at a generally better rate in the UR realm of cards than you would earn on the UA branded cards. Freedom Unlimited has a better base of 1.5 and you still get 3 points on dining as well as pharmacy purchases (which can be significant depending on your needs and lifestyle). I have no experience with the Freedom Flex, but it's another option for extra UR points, that can be moved to the affiliated points program. For getting points the CSP beats the United Explorer with it's lower AF. But, I don't fly United that often lately, so again it's a lifestyle factor.
