I can see that Kirby really wants ORD all to himself. Then he'll also get PHL and JFK(T8) in the process, along with DCA, basically giving UA a stronghold in the biggest NE cities. I can't imagine even today's DOJ allowing something like this without a lot of concessions. But again, this whole thread and article/news was started by Kirby making what are likely calculated comments that the press picked up. I doubt there's much to it right now.
