For me, 100% not worth having to deal with Amex Travel (Expedia) for that level of savings.
A few years ago when they had discounted AA business class tickets, I did use them a lot (the savings were a larger %), but if you had to make any change whatsoever… good luck dealing with their completely incompetent customer service.
