The main risk to me of these tight connections on single ticket is that even if the airline has to get you on a later flight, your cabin of service may not be available. So if you are flying in J the might have to put you in PE or Y and then stuff like refunds when booking AA but flying BA can be difficult or might have to wait days during busy season or reroute. Not end of the world, but just annoying.
