They've removed most of the Cat 1s around major metropolitan areas (except for Texas).. seems like it's because many of us were using those properties to mattress run 5 or 10 nights if we were just short of Globalist for the year. Maybe they mistook that for actual demand? Who knows.
They still exist around IAD airport. They are really the only Hyatt properties I stay at in the States. Hopefully they don't shift upwards a category.
