Unpopular opinion — I would say that pretty much all my favourite meals on BA have been cold ones. I was a big fan of the cold option in F when it was offered.
There is only so much you can do with plane ovens (and on some aircraft it is worse than on others) so if it were me, I’d head for a “greatest picnic” mode full of little delights and surprises.
of course the likes of JL prove me wrong as they also manage very high levels on the hot options but somehow, most airlines don’t.
ps: perso ally not a big fan of the ba’s bangers and mash in ce. It’s a dish that can be wonderful if you are spot on, but in my view on va the bangers are not good enough, the mash outright mediocre, and the gravy synthetic.
