It was SOOO salty, three others sent it back and replaced it with another entree.
so, it really depends on the station in which it is prepared.
Ironically, neither dish looks like the photo that United provides in the preorder menu

These were my preorder options
I chose the steak and eggs. This is what I received:
The steak was cooked to almost well done (beyond medium well, but there was still a hint of pink in the middle). It seems like they used tenderloin, so despite being cooked to near death, it was still tender. The french fries were odd, as they didn't come with any sort of condiments. The egg puck was "complimentary hotel breakfast" quality and wasn't the most pleasant. The chia pudding was great and the fresh fruit (kiwi and pineapple) and the fig jam both added sweetness to it, as was the raisin croissant. I did not receive any hot sauce as someone else here did.
These are my preorder options for an upcoming flight out of IAH. I'm on the fence as to whether I want to roll the dice with the coq au vin, or if I should give the short rib a try since I haven't seen any reports on this threaad for that dish yet.
