My Dad has had an NRT-DOH-LHR award flight booked for mid-May but has just had an email from QR to say that the flight has been cancelled.
When he spoke to CS, they have said he can either rebook for 'later in the year' or get a full refund, but they wouldn't rebook him onto an alternative QR flight from NRT or any other alternative routing either.
This may be in flux, or agent-dependent. I had BOS-DOH-HND canceled for June for 4pax and was anticipating disappointment, but I called in and the agent was quickly able to rebook us JFK-DOH-NRT. The origin change is only slightly inconvenient, and the second segment moves us from JAL to Qsuites which should be a minor upgrade. The load factor looks quite empty on all segments right now.
