More airlines are making it harder to determine the fare class letter.
Until 6~12~18 months could put a (Amadeus) PNR, or in some cases e-ticket number, into other airlines "manage my booking". At times that showed information that the operating-booking airlines own MMB did not show. Unsure how that used to work with SABRE (AA -AS) PNR's.
As a broad guide for QF Qantas with FJ Discount Economy pays nothing for flights within Fiji and GNTV fare class for others. Note if fare class not listed wil be nil earning

Note that ITA Matrix will list booking classes/fare basis codes/fare rules on flights if you can find flights/price you want to book on there. Priceline will show fare rules, but not fare basis codes/booking classes.
Looking on EF, as far as US-Fiji fares go, "Value" fares have letters "VLUS" in fare basis codes and can potentially book into any coach fare class. Comfort fares have letters "CMUS" and Plus fares have "PLUS". These can also book into any coach class. So upfaring to Comfort or Plus fares won't book you into a higher fare class and won't guarantee you will earn anything if the underlying booking class is non-earning.
Based on following QR table for FJ fares, outbound flight below (F class) would earn nothing and return flight (T class) would earn 35% miles flown on QR as the F and R classes are not listed in table.
Here is Priceline quote on above itin. It seems they are offering a 7% discount off the published fares.
