I want to share my good experience with a prepaid EDIT booking at Park MGM.
I booked last year when it was showing Marriott Eligible. At check in I made sure to have them attach my Marriott number, it did not seem to be transmitted with the booking despite including it when booking at Chase.
At checkout there was no charges for the resort fee, just dining that we had charged to the room, and they proactively made sure the $100 credit was applied.
A few days later I see both points and elite nights posted to my Marriott account, with no intervention on my part.
I booked in Dec two separate Chase EDIT stays at MGM Grand and Park MGM. Both were showing as Marriott Bonvoy eligible. I stayed in Jan and added marriott number at checkin for both. I received Marriott stay credit and points for MGM Grand stay but not at Park MGM. I was not double charged the resort fee at either.
Marriott is telling me to pound sand for the Park MGM reservation as it is "a third party booking". Am I wasting my time chasing this further with Chase and/or Marriott? Anyone successfully challenged this? Would like the nights credited to help me towards requal.
