I have a $200 flight travel credit that needs to be booked by tomorrow (can still fly past date according to rep) however I don't currently have a set date of my next trip (or if it will happen) so I did my best to estimate my next trip and booked a refundable ticket a few moments ago. My goal is to have a new travel credit issued with a further out expiration date however from what I've read here it sounds like my mistake was that I booked refundable instead of non-refundable ? Any recommendations on how to move forward ?? Should I cancel my current trip (assuming original certificate is issued immediately and book non-refundable; but if I were to book non-refundable wont I run to risk of losing the $ I used ?
