Yes they are and they always have been for the most part. The first couple times of this program, rental cars were always a couple extra dollars, but nothing material, especially if you needed the MQD. Hotels were hit and miss whether they were the same or higher...again nothing material. Recently, rental car rates are astonishingly higher so I have rarely bothered to check. Today out of curiosity, I looked at cars for a trip I have in June. The cheapest car on Hertz with the rack rate, not even using my CDP and promo code, is a chevy trax or similar for $275. On Delta that same car is also the cheapest at $348
Add in my CDP and promo code and my car is down to $185, nearly half the price. Are getting some miles and MQDs worth paying almost double?...I guess there is a sucker born every minute. Caveat emptor!!
