I considered Rio (GIG-IAH-LAX), the issue is i really dont want > 1 stop.

I will have a pet and a sister in law - the Copa option worked pretty well for us - EZE-PTY-LAX and a short layover PTY.

If we didnt have dog, Id even upgrade to the Dreams on the 737-MAx but not possible
