Every time I had to connect in LIN on a single ticket I had to go landside and pass security again...
Was on a LH flight from FRA that used a jet-bridge. To my surprise, arrival passengers were dumped right into the departure area.

And yes, I was taken by a bus straight to the baggage/ arrival area after a domestic AZ flight.

Regarding lounge access, airlines generally allow lounge access for departing passengers only. I don’t believe lounges operated by ITA have any exceptions.
