Not sure about Marriott, but having a hotel above or next to a subway station will make the trip more enjoyable for Tokyo, in my experience.

If you are using points for stays, then just do the hotel that you want to stay at. PH Tokyo is a great hotel with great customer service, just the distance from the subway station is their biggest negative.

Just download the Suica card to your phone wallet for the subway.
