The former Sydney water board offices the building retains many period features and helpfully on every floor has a map showing what was on that floor and who previous used the area your bedroom/Suite now occupies. The staff were lovely everyone of them and prior to my arrival communication was brilliant. My flight was delayed 26 hours and having booked months ago the rate was around half what it was now. I didn’t wish to lose that and the provided reassurance. In the end I got another flight and arrived on time.

My corner suite (using confirmable suite upgrade) was vast and made for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was huge and included a separate bath and shower.

it is brilliantly located steps from Town Hall tram and trains, Museum station is close and an Uber from the airport around $40. If there are two of you avoid public transport to and from the airport.

There is a large bar and sitting area on the rook with a small pool but it’s great to just sit there and relax.

My one gripe is breakfast. The hotel lobby is a coffee shop type area and the breakfast area is the hotels restaurant. In the morning the formality of the restaurant continues with full table service and items made to order. The food is fabulous but it takes forever to be served. There is no grab and go, no buffet and I waited 15 minutes for a coffee and never got a second one.
