People should do speculative bookings. I think the devaluation pain will be real. This hurts properties of people cancel. Members who have a lot of points like me but who can't redeem grt frustrated.

My own take is they should've announced this and given a longer lead time to changes - 6 to 12 months so people could redeem without such fear and without frustration or anger at losing value. I had 800,000 pointsnand feel like I will lose a lot.

I've booked 12 nights in last 2 weeks that I didn't need just to use up points. I'm getting below my normal point redemption rate I'm comfortable with but doing just to get rid of points. Puts a bad taste in my mouth.
