Today I had a long stay at LAX so I visited the "Star Alliance Lounge (Business)" at Terminal B (aka TBIT) for a change of scenery. I can recommend it! No problems with letting me in as a Polaris passenger, even though my flight was very much later in the day (12 hours later, same day).
