In my experience, higher-category properties are much more often sold out on points. Perhaps that is because they are a central part of many credit-card strategies. After all, most people are not putting heavy spend on a credit card in order to redeem for a Hyatt House somewhere.
If the value drived from the HH or HP redemption is good enough and I need a stay there, I honestly don't care where I redeem my points.
A point redeemed at good value always beats a point devalued in my account while waiting for the perfect opportunity to redeem it at an "aspirational" property.
