Same day Polaris lounge access for Polaris flight is no issue.
Just be aware of the check-in policy around timelines. In recent years the policy was first changed to checking in luggage no more than 4 hours prior to departure time and subsequently modified to add an exception: at hubs (including LAX) you can check luggage up to 12 hours before your flight.
I had a 13 hour international connection in SFO last week and they apologetically told me to come back at the 4 hour mark. Then we got a supervisor on the phone who confirmed my understanding of the policy and nicely asked me to wait for the 12 hour mark. Which at that point was only another 3 minutes. This was the GS lobby in SFO.
So I think you may run into an issue if you have luggage and try to check more than 12 hours out. Come back and let us know how you make out. Good luck!
