Flight delayed - reporting live

Hi all,

Currently at the airport waiting for BA936 (LHR–DUS) and looking for some advice. We were first told there might be a delay due to ATC/weather, then had a gate change and aircraft swap. Now we’ve been told the crew have run out of hours and they’re trying to find standby pilots — no estimated departure time at the moment.

A couple of questions:
* Would this qualify for UK/EU261 compensation, given the cause has shifted from weather to crew?
* Should BA be providing food vouchers / duty of care now?

Also, this was meant to be my first RJ segment 🥹 — not quite the start I was hoping for! Thanks in advance 🙏
