We have managed to miss the our CPH-ARN-MMX flights twice in the past without repercussions (without checked in bags), but it is a risk I prefer not to take.

I will ask next time I am at CPH as we don't fly this convouted itinerary again until the end of April, but I imagine that the agents at the outstations might not be too aware or keen to short check the bags to CPH. However, it would be an interesting loophole as it would open up a lot more favorable pricing from MMX for those of us on the Swedish side of the border.
My impression is that some outstation places are more willing than the check-in people at CPH. I'm really sick and tired of them - from visa requirement to not giving out the free checked bag that I purchased (I bought UA regular Y fare - not BE and LH insisted on charging me and it took me 20 minutes to argue with that check-in person and she said, "I'll waive the charge" - sure if I was flying BE - feel free to waive it, but we were entitled to 1 bag each even without our status). A lot of these people have ZERO idea what they are doing. It's much easier to deal with a machine if the option is there.

If you really want a definite answer - write to them. Don't ask them in person without any trail - they can say whatever they feel like at that moment. I have tried this too many times (asking them if I have CPH express and they said yes and turned out that I had to argue my way through). Once I told the MU staff to write on my boarding pass that we have fast track and they refused (after they said we had access).
