You would think there would be a way to track it down the line - they have numbers, so you could see where it was used. Of course, if used somewhere beside Sephora, could be difficult.
Police are NOT going to be interested in this. It is way bigger than their resources.
AA should be able to tell you what kind of gift cards were issued, and how they were sent. Have you checked your "Trash" email folder?
If they were sent by postal mail, get the physical address to which they were sent, and contact the Postal Inspectors and the police in that area immediately.
