I called chase to change it back and got the reply stating that it will take 10~14 biz days. I also have a stay this week and downgraded to silver because of this.

Tried to get compensation from Chase for losing benefits from gold with no success, the rep manager even stating that "they don't have any option" to give any compensation.
Quite a fun experience.
I received this email today from Marriott (not Chase). Although I don't think it impacted me during this window as I have Platinum from LTP and Brilliant as well.
As Marriott acknowledged it, I would try asking them for compensation (points maybe?)

Hello,

Thank you for being a Ritz-Carlton™ Credit Card Cardmember. We’re reaching out to let you know about an issue that may have temporarily impacted your Marriott Bonvoy® Elite Status between 3/5-3/13. The issue has been resolved, and any changes inadvertently made to your account have been corrected.

What happened: During a recent loyalty status update some Ritz-Carlton Cardmembers were incorrectly downgraded from Gold Elite to Silver Elite. The downgrade was not intended and has been corrected. Your Ritz-Carlton Credit Card account was not affected, and no action is required on your part.

If you have questions, please call the Marriott Bonvoy Elite Guest Services number on the back of your card.

We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused, and we appreciate your understanding.
