Now, OLCI and SSCI guys, this presents a problem. British Airways, in their wisdom, have never instructed check in staff to issue a new boarding pass when a passenger comes to the "Fast" (who the hell coined that misnomer?) Baggage Drop desk - indeed, if we did, it would slow down proceedings drastically!

Can the official BA lurker please examine this situation and report back?
That's a very good point.

When travelling with bags, I have never really seen the point of "Fast Bag Drop". Queue is usually bigger than at the F desk and why make two stops? Now this is a further reason to do it the old-fashioned way. Anyway, when I checked in for Cairo last week (without hold baggage), SSCI wouldn't give me a boarding pass and sent me to a desk anyway.
