Without getting political, I have come across many Americans who consider their country the best in the world (no metric given ever), but I don’t generally hear that from people of other nationalities about their country. I wonder if the same is at play here.

As with countries, I don’t know how to measure “bestness” for airlines in an objective way that would be accepted by everyone. And why does it even matter.
