Where is the luxury? The Unbound luxury or the LXRury? I can’t find it.
I digress - Hotel 1000 is a decent hotel, but despite its location, the price premium they are asking for compared to other properties is somewhat baffling. With some renovations, this could be a nicer property - let’s hope they invest in that.
Pros:
- Was able to check in at 10 AM arrival
- Bed is comfortable - plush mattress, plush pillows, covers aren’t thick but aren’t super paper thin
- Shower pressure is decent / good
- Breakfast is good - wasn’t told of a Globalist limit - the eggs royale and potatoes were yummy - my $44 bill was wiped off
- Gym has several treadmills
- Easy walk to Pike Place, etc
- Had to ask, but able to get 4 PM late checkout
Neutral:
- No upgrade - asked at check-in and was told “system” assigned me best room that was cleaned, but they didn’t ask seem to check - they did say I could come down later and ask again but I had no desire to move rooms - still, they didn’t even move my room type the morning of arrival before I arrived and basically all room types were available online
Cons:
- Bed covers are still pretty thin
- Room is definitely worn with scuffs, etc.
- Noise isolation to outside was bad with loud cars and loud people with mental health issues shouting outside
- Shower leaked all over the floor
- Had to call them the next day to get an emailed invoice
- No Globalist in-room welcome gift
- Check in had a lack of proactive explanation of benefits or facilities
- No streaming options on TV (old system)
We will see if my points post.
