To me this is like UA charging more for the Polaris equipped EWR-SFO flights using the 777... Wonder how many people will pay more just for the flight, and for the seat...

From my limited research, UA is not releasing below D on the first few days the new aircraft is on the route. After the first week or so (I didn't track to the day), they're releasing all the way down to P.

There are only eight of them. Presumably it will be just like E+ - a few pax will get premium seats they did not pay for. Personally, I prefer to be farther away from the lavs.
For SFO-LHR departing 4/30, returning the following week, the Polaris 2 fight is actually cheaper (Z) than the other 2 flights with Polaris 1 on 772s (C). And the return flights, all three are priced the same and P fares.
