As previously announced, we’re introducing upgraded interiors and products on our newest Boeing 787-9 aircraft to elevate the customer experience – including United Polaris Studio!
Later today, March 19, customers can purchase the more spacious United Polaris Studio seat located in the first row of each United Polaris zone on these flights:

• SFO - SIN (UA 1, UA 2) for travel starting April 22
• SFO - LHR (UA 901, UA 900) for travel starting April 30

United Polaris Studio seats are 25% larger than standard United Polaris seats, and include an extra ottoman, a 27” 4K inflight entertainment screen, and upgraded meals, service and amenities. Check out all the features here.

How to purchase United Polaris Studio
United Polaris Studio is an ancillary purchase for customers ticketed in United Polaris, whether on a revenue or award ticket or upgrade. It is not a fare; it is an ancillary add-on like an Economy Plus for a standard economy customer.

• Travel agency: Edifact/GDS, NDC

When to purchase

• At initial purchase of a United Polaris ticket
• Add to an existing United Polaris booking

How to purchase

• United Polaris Studio seats are in rows 1 and 9.
• When choosing a seat assignment, look at the seat map to see if available.
• If available, the seat price will display (like it does for an Economy Plus seat purchase).
• Select the seat.

• Credit card: United or travel agency
• MileagePlus miles: Via United

Additional information
Upgrades: Customers cannot use any upgrade type to purchase a Polaris Studio seat assignment. economy or Premium Plus customers who use miles or PlusPoints to upgrade to Polaris can then separately purchase a Polaris Studio seat as an ancillary, if available.
