I’d recommend avoiding this property if you’re a light sleeper. I requested a room change after my first night on the side opposite the nightclub, but was told that most of the quieter rooms are configured as twins. The staff were apologetic about it and promised they would pre-arrange a quieter option for my upcoming stay next week.

The surrounding neighborhood is fairly unremarkable—there’s not much to see or do, and it feels like the not so polished urban Korean equivalent of “Anytown, USA.“ It’s worth noting that the nightlife in this area—including the club causing the noise—caters more to a middle-aged crowd rather than a younger Itaewon/Hongdae-style scene. So the area is not overtly rowdy, but there is a noticeable low-frequency vibration from the music that was bothersome for me.

That said, for a Category 1 property, the hard product is impressive. While the rooftop pool isn’t opened yet, the gym, sauna, and breakfast are particularly nice considering the price point, and it’s arguably the only viable cheap Hyatt mattress run option in Korea. There is a convenience store on the ground level of the building, a DAISO and subway station right next door, and a few restaurant options in the building that provide a 15% discount for hotel guests. I cannot comment on the staff's english ability (as I am a local), but there were plenty of foreign guests mostly from Japan, China, and SE Asia.
