Interesting. Thanks for the info. Guess I’m paying the one-way premium. My itinerary is DEN-LHR, then LHR-LAX. BA can get me there non-stop both ways, but I don’t love the return time and would prefer to fly the AA flight then. If I fly AA there I have to connect, of course.

I already have the return leg purchased and currently watching for a deal on an upgrade from Y - currently 7 months out and upgrade from Y to PE is $1169, which is more than the fare difference to PE, so I will be holding for a while.
