I've seen an improvement in the crew meals that I received, which are based on the same entrées served on my domestic and near-international flights. The American Breakfast (scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and bacon or sausage) is my favorite. I also like the Penne, Tortalini, and cheese enchiladas quite a bit.
The very limited experience I have had recently with domestic meals - agree, have improved. Polaris remains far under acceptable levels.

I also agree with the others that when they have cut FA staffing to bare bones, the on-board service is not going to reach the lofty descriptions (wishful thinking) spouted by a marketing department.
I have been thru so many catering "programs" launched by United that fizzle out so quickly, I understand the cynicism...and agree with it.
