I was planning to stay here again over Eid this week, but after booking I received an email from the hotel saying that they were centralizing their operations in the Westin, and that the W is not operational at the moment. Now I entirely understand that given the current situation that hotels might need to do something like this, but what irked me was that the email framed it that they were upgrading me to the Westin, and mentioned the word upgrade several times. I certainly wouldn't consider the Westin to be an upgrade, and would generally consider it the worst option in this cluster after the W and LM. They could have been upfront about needing to move me, but don't frame it as some kind of upgrade.

Not sure if the same applies to the LM at present, and no indication of when the W will be open again.
